This manual, like a road map, does not contain all the details of the federal and state statutes and regulations. Ethanol facility operators need to review the applicable statutes and regulations.
There are many federal environmental requirements that apply to ethanol production facilities. State environmental agencies may take the lead in implementing federal environmental programs and may have state requirements in addition to federal environmental requirements.
